How It Works
The RO Winterize Solution works by creating a protective layer on the surface of the membrane, inhibiting the adherence of impurities that can lead to fouling. It helps in keeping the RO membrane clean and free from contaminants like calcium, magnesium, and microorganisms. Once the system is flushed and restarted, the solution easily dissolves, leaving no residue, so your system can return to optimal performance immediately.

Application Instructions

  1. Remove DI and Prefilter: remove the Pre filter and DI filter storing them away for the shutdown period
  2. Flush the System: Ensure that the RO system is flushed to remove any residual water or contaminants.
  3. Prepare the Solution: Dissolve the recommended amount of powder in water, best to use a 1 gallon jug.
  4. Add the Winterize Solution: After closing your Flush valve, introduce the dissolved winterize solution into the system.
  5. Shut Down the System: After applying the solution, safely shut down the RO system for winterization or extended periods of disuse.
  6. Restart with Ease: When ready to resume operation, hook up to your water source, flush the system to remove the winterize solution. Then reinstall/replace your Prefilter and DI filter. The membrane will be ready for immediate use without further treatment.
